Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas – Dallas area travelers will have one more way to apply for TSA Pre✓® when a temporary application center opens July 19 to 23 at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Marriott South hotel.
The TSA Pre✓® temporary application center will be open July 19 to 23 at the hotel, located at 4151 Centreport Drive, Ft. Worth, in the Elk Fork conference room. Complimentary parking is available for applicants. The application center will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Travelers who are enrolled in TSA Pre✓® are permitted to keep on their shoes, belts and light jacket, and can leave their laptops and 3-1-1 baggie of liquids and gels in their carry-on bags when they go through a security checkpoint at more than 160 participating airports. Members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) “trusted traveler” programs, such as Global Entry, SENTRI or NEXUS, automatically receive TSA Pre✓® benefits.
Applying for TSA Pre✓® is a two-step process. Travelers can make an appointment for TSA Pre✓® enrollment online. Applicants then must complete their enrollment in-person at a TSA Pre✓® application center. Applicants must bring documentation proving identity and citizenship status and submit fingerprints. The application fee is $85 for a five-year membership.
Approved passengers will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) in one to two weeks. Travelers should enter their KTN in the “Known Traveler Number” field when booking airline reservations. The KTN also can be added when booking reservations online via a participating airline website, via phone call to the airline reservation center, or with the travel management company making reservations. Additionally, the KTN can be entered in participating airline frequent flyer profiles, where it will be stored for future reservations.
In addition to the temporary application center at the DFW Airport Marriott South, there are several permanent application centers in the region. These include two centers at DFW, as well as three other permanent centers in the immediate area. For a list of application center addresses and hours, visit https://universalenroll.dhs.gov/.
