I was rushing through the Milwaukee [ Mitchell International] Airport screening area [heading] for Terminal D.  Unbeknownst to me, I dropped an envelope containing a bank safe deposit key.

After 30 days, I understand that anything left unclaimed goes to an office for potential follow up to the rightful owner.  Well I was lucky enough to have [Program Specialist] Michael Ditlevson assigned to my lost item.  He called the bank, who traced the key to me, and I didn't even know I lost it!

So I called Mike, emailed him a UPS label, and he sent me the lost key.  I just received it yesterday.

Now, you can't imagine how important it was for me to get that key returned to me.  Both of my parents died last April and the safe deposit box contains their most important possessions.   I would have had to pay a significant fee to have that box drilled open if I had lost that key.

It is so meaningful that you have a person like Mike who embodies such a fabulous customer service attitude.

So finally, I want to say thank you - I appreciate Mike’s attention to my issue.  I felt he really went above and beyond for me.  I also want to [say] thank you for the leadership that allows people like Mike to do their best work.  Count me a new TSA fan!

Very Sincerely,

Sue Stroukoff
