BURBANK, Calif. - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is now offering full TSA Pre✓® screening benefits to eligible travelers departing Hollywood Burbank Airport’s Terminal B during peak travel times.

TSA Pre✓® screening allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt when going through the security checkpoint. Travelers can also leave their laptops, electronics larger than a cell phone and travel-size liquids in their carry-on luggage.

“For the first time, TSA is now offering full TSA Pre✓® screening to travelers departing from BUR’s Terminal B during certain times,” said TSA BUR Federal Security Director Anita Minaei. “We know that TSA Pre✓® simplifies the travel experience and is a valuable benefit for those who are eligible for TSA Pre✓®.”

TSA anticipates that full TSA Pre✓® screening in Terminal B will be available during peak travel times, depending upon available staffing and passenger volume. When the dedicated TSA Pre✓® lane is not open, travelers eligible for TSA Pre✓® will still be allowed to leave on their shoes, light outwear and belt, but will be asked to remove laptops, electronics larger than a cell phone and travel size liquids from their carry-on luggage.

Airlines that depart from Terminal B include Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Spirit Airlines and United Airlines.

A TSA Pre✓® enrollment center is located in Burbank at 2436 W. Victory Boulevard in the Landmark Shopping Center. It is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The shopping center is located on the south side of Victory Boulevard, east of N. Buena Vista Street and west of N. Brighton Street. Parking is free.

Travelers who are screened through a TSA Pre✓® lane find their experience to be more streamlined and quicker. Recent national data shows that since Memorial Day weekend 2019, 92% of travelers in a TSA Pre✓® lane waited five minutes or less to be screened through the security checkpoint.
