BOSTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is holding a recruiting event Friday, January 28. The hiring event is designed to assist individuals interested in applying for a job as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
Attendees will receive information about full-and part-time TSO positions and have the opportunity to complete multiple steps of the hiring process. The event includes a presentation about the TSO role, application assistance, computer-based testing for job seekers, and scheduling the remote interview.
During the event presentations TSA will provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave, health care plans for full- and part-time employees, 401k coverage and more.
Starting pay at BOS is $24.60 per hour. TSA is also offering a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for BOS, $1,000 after onboarding and an additional $1,000 after one year of service.
The event takes place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Logan Airport, 207 Porter St. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.. Because participating in the information session and preliminary hiring process components can take a few hours, TSA recommends arriving early in the day. Candidates are required to have two valid forms of state or federal identification, as well as proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter the hotel. Attendees will also receive validated valet parking.
