I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for an experience that my family encountered at your airport [Southwest Florida International Airport, RSW].
My family and I entered the TSA line to prepare for departure to Atlantic City, New Jersey While passing through the TSA line, my daughter experienced a seizure. She suffers from epilepsy and we know how to administer care during and after an episode.
However, the attention and assistance that the TSA staff, police department and emergency medical technicians displayed was second to none. They were so caring and expressed great concern on the well-being of my daughter. I couldn’t be more appreciative for their actions.
When we continued to the gate, the agent and the man that assists with special care clients were wonderful. They also made us feel completely comfortable and went so far as to allow us to board our flight ahead of time. The entire experience, which could and should have been a complete catastrophe, became very manageable with the assistance of workers in your airport.
I just wanted to take a moment to reach out and let you know that everyone involved went above and beyond our expectations.
Thank you so much,
Michael DiNardo
Editor’s Note: Supervisory TSA officer Don Anderson was directed to manage the event. It was his second week in that role.
