ANCHORAGE, Alaska – In honor of the enduring sacrifice of our nation’s military families, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is proud to announce a new partnership with Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) to enhance the travel experience for members of the U.S. military community as part of a national campaign.
TSA is introducing expedited access at ANC’s TSA PreCheck® lanes for active-duty service members and their families. In support of our military service members and families at nearby Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), ANC will offer front-of-the-line privileges for military families.
“We are proud to support our military members as they travel through ANC,” said TSA Federal Security Director for Alaska Pete Duffy. “TSA ANC has a strong partnership with JBER, and expanding TSA PreCheck benefits will directly assist the approximately 13,000 active-duty military service members and their families stationed at JBER. TSA is committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of military families by ensuring their travel is convenient and stress-free.”
TSA will also provide the following benefits to all military members and their families:
- Gold Star families can enroll in TSA PreCheck at no cost.
- Spouses of active-duty personnel can receive a $25 discount on the TSA PreCheck enrollment fee.
- TSA PreCheck remains free for uniformed service members.
The TSA Cares program remains available for veterans and wounded warriors, providing personalized assistance through the screening process and ensuring a smooth and seamless screening experience.
